The role:

We are looking for a highly motivated student recruitment professional to join our Schools and Colleges team to drive forward our student recruitment across Kent and Essex.

You will:

  • Develop, lead and deliver a regional recruitment plan for Kent and Essex to achieve the University's undergraduate targets.
  • Build strong relationships with post 16 schools and colleges across this region
  • Develop and manage recruitment activities to generate leads and increase applications to the university.
  • Support recruitment activity across East Sussex and more widely throughout the UK

To succeed in this role, you will need to be a results-oriented self-starter, with:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Experience of working with and motivating young adults
  • Strong organisational, administrative and time management skills
  • Ability to use data and analytics to target and measure return on investment

The role requires frequent and extensive travel to schools and colleges across Kent and Essex, as well as travel to support recruitment activity across East Sussex and throughout the UK. You will be expected to work evenings and weekends as required and work at the University of Portsmouth once a month. As such, a full clean driving licence is desirable.

An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this post.

This is a home working post and you will be expected to live and work in the region, preferably in Kent, to support the travel requirements of the role.
