An additional supplement may be available, depending on skill and experience, of up to 15% of the annual gross salary for a maximum of 2 years.

We are searching for a dynamic specialist in local government commercial law to join our team that offers guidance to various public bodies. This role will involve a diverse and exciting range of local authority projects.

The Role

The key responsibilities will include drafting a variety of contracts and procurement documents, as well as delivering advanced advice on different types of agreements such as funding agreements, works contracts, and concessions. Familiarity with corporate law, particularly experience with the NEC contract suite, would be advantageous.

What We're Seeking

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience. While specific local government experience is not mandatory, expertise in this field within the public sector is required. Proficiency in literacy and IT, effective communication skills, and the ability to draft complex legal advice in clear, plain language are essential. We need a collaborative team player who can apply their knowledge creatively and proactively.
