The opportunity


Building and maintaining client relationships is critical to what we do and plays a major part in the success of our business. Do you share the same passion as us? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for someone to seek opportunities to secure increased business and serve as the key point of contact for intermediaries, maximising relationships through ownership, resolution and providing a high level of technical expertise. You will also support Account Managers in developing relationships and articulating our proposition to an assigned portfolio.

What will you be doing?

  • In partnership with the Account Managers, create, develop, and manage relationships with intermediaries to influence them to do business with the organization. Attends client meetings as required
  • Evaluate business opportunities to optimize profitable sales and retention, to achieve business targets
  • Work in conjunction with the organization's Distribution team to secure new business and retain existing business, coordinating tenders, and identifying cross-sell opportunities
  • Collaborate with, and actively supports, Operations to maximize the positive impact on intermediaries and their customers
  • Engage with Underwriters, to price and complete quotation requests received directly or through the account panel
  • Demonstrate a high-level understanding of the Group risk market (both UK and International) and show how the organization's propositions and product solutions can benefit intermediaries and their customers. Improve and update product and market knowledge and applies this knowledge appropriately
  • Understand and comply with responsibilities associated with the FSA and the Training & Competence scheme, recognising how these affect the organization, intermediaries, and their customers
  • Produce and analyse Management Information for Distribution



Who are we looking for?

It is essential that you have good relationship and account management skills and ideally you will have experience of an account management or client facing role in the group risk market, but this isn't essential. You will be working with a large base of partners so strong planning and organisational skills is a must. Strong commercial acumen and negotiating skills are also key to this role.

You will need to be self-motivated, have the ability to problem solve and manage external and internal stakeholders, maintaining a high level of service. Excellent understanding of the group risk market in the UK including GR1 qualification or the desire to study towards, which will be funded by Zurich.
