As a Ranger, you're the heart and soul of the National Trust in the landscapes we protect. You're a champion of nature conservation and the great outdoors, and you'll play a crucial role in keeping the nation's beloved countryside in good shape, for wildlife and for people.
You'll be required to work some weekends, bank holidays and evenings, and be on call.
This role is required to work with vulnerable groups including children and any offer of employment or volunteering is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
What it's like to work here
Based at the 4600 acre Blickling Estate, Norfolk, you'll be part of the wider ranger team which includes 2 rangers and an apprentice, and you'll report to the Area Ranger.
Blickling is a complete estate, with formal parkland, woodlands, meadows and riverside habitats, and tenanted farmland.

What you'll be doing
You'll build relationships in the local community, proudly representing the Trust and letting people know about the work you and the team are doing. You'll pass on your knowledge and enthusiasm to encourage others to love this area as much as you do. You'll be helping to protect and care for habitats, wildlife, buildings and machinery.
You'll make sure that the conservation work and outdoor experiences on the land in your care are of the highest standard.
First aid, chainsaw and tractor certificates aren't required but training can be provided to gain these skills.

Who we're looking for
We'd love to hear from you if you're:
- customer serviced focussed, able to engage people meet visitor's needs.
- happy to talk to communicate about the work you're doing, and why it matters
- experienced in managing land, access and conservation, and working outdoors
- hard-working and willing to learn
- able to work safely, using risk assessments and following guidelines
- practically experienced in conservation work, to protect and improve habitats and landscapes
- •a driver with a full UK driving licence
