The Challenge

Our Client is a successful Menswear Brand founded to deliver on a promise of better fit.

They are currently in a period of high growth driven by a rapid expansion in the range.

To strategically manage the product development they are looking to recruit a Head of Technical to lead their team

Their supply chain reaches from Portugal, to Asia (in Sri Lanka) and the Far East (in China and Vietnam) so candidates must have global experience and a holistic view....

In this role you would ....


• Develop and maintain a holistic strategy to produce flawlessly fitting, technically

performant product with relentless size consistency across 10+ suppliers


• Design the tools, instrumentation and processes (internally and with suppliers) to deliver on that strategy


• Collaborate closely with Product Development to support the technical performance and consistency of new products, from inception


• Lead fitting sessions, and offer clear direction on fit, block work and measurement specs


• Supervise grading process - specifically highlighting anomalies


• Design and supervise maintenance of the pattern library, and version control


• Undertake factory visits to inspect inline and in QC, spot issues and recommend process improvements


• Create custom supplier manuals as required


• Prioritise and allocate Product team resources to technical tasks every fortnight


• Aggregate QC results into summary insights and focused supplier feedback


• Periodically review testing regime and standards
