This role is for a Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for processing payroll data and ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of salaries. The position is based in Barbican and requires proficiency in payroll systems and strong attention to detail.

Description

Duties for the Payroll Manager role:

  • Processing weekly and monthly payroll data accurately and promptly.
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee payroll queries.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Preparing payroll reports for management review.
  • Coordinating with the HR department for new hires, terminations, and pay adjustments.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of payroll information.
  • Participating in payroll system upgrades and testing.
  • Assisting in internal and external audits related to payroll.

Profile

A successful Payroll Specialist should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience with Sage Payroll is beneficial
