Job Description
What is the opportunity?
The newly created Operations Department in Jersey is building out a team of professionals to ensure oversight and adherence to upcoming regulatory changes and readiness for our Core Platform Replacement program
In this role, you will be responsible for the day to day running and oversight of the Treasury Control, Cash Management and Position Keeping functions, including the control of all reporting, monitoring and statistical analysis.
Ensuring all of the banks available cash positions are utilised in an effective manner whilst proactively managing and reducing risk, keeping costs and losses to a minimum, whilst encouraging an environment of continuous improvement and quality on a proactive basis.
You will have responsibility for the preparation, review and submission of management reporting for both Head Office and local Asset-Liability Committees (ALCO).
You will also provide support and Management Oversight of the wider Equity Finance and Treasury Support team.
You will act as subject matter expert and provide support for any new or ongoing projects.

What will you do?
Operations Processes, Controls and Reporting
- Management oversight of the day to day running of the department ensuring all Reports and Positions are completed promptly and accurately whilst keeping costs and sundry losses to a minimum
- Produce and submit Head Office, ALCO and Management reporting
- Control of the department's internal reporting and reconciliations
- Ownership of potential loss events and near misses, including root cause analysis of event and suggested remediation as well as escalation to Senior Manager
- Regular review of operational procedures and processes in conjunction with the team, improving and rewriting when necessary
- Arranging cross training of staff to provide effective cover
- Coordinating and monitoring testing for RIBS, Online services and any other new or enhanced systems as required
- Oversight of RBC (CI) LTD balance sheet control to ensure traders stay within local regulatory and GRM limits
- Production and regular review of Service Level Agreements with relevant teams

- Oversee a team of operational professionals with focus on excellence, collaboration, teamwork in serving the end client
- Provide focus and clarity in establishing individual goals, drive performance, supporting career development and reward strong performance

- Effective time management is a must due to the intraday deadlines which must be strictly adhered to throughout the day
Nice-to-have
- Qualified Banking or Qualified Securities professional
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Macro's and VBA for simplification of non-standard and manual processes
