Research Associate in Reproduction, Development and Child Health Research

The Role
A Research Associate with qualitative research skills and a PhD or equivalent experience in Applied Health Research or a Social Science background (e.g. Sociology, Anthropology) to support a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Application Development Award funded project which seeks to evaluate school food in specialist schools, attended by children and young people with complex health needs and learning disability.
You will undertake research with a particular focus on understanding specialist school food, and stakeholder perspectives on school food. You will have a willingness to contribute to the set-up of the project, as well as undertaking fieldwork (virtually or face-to-face, as appropriate) and analysis.
The joint project leads are Dr Morag Andrew, Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer, Neurodevelopment and Disability group and Dr Suzanne Spence, Lecturer, Human Nutrition and Exercise Research Centre.
The post is available on a full-time, fixed-term basis for 6 months from 1st September 2024.
