Salary: £47,683+ dependant on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

  • You will be involved in Engineering Toolset Development. These roles are developing, integrating and demonstrating new engineering toolset capabilities and processes to transform the way in which the Air Sector Engineers and manufactures it's products, by utilising an integrated Siemens toolset. This will enable the Manufacturing Engineering function, to meet its digital ambitions, and in turn, enable the business to meet the timescale and affordability challenges of future products
  • Another part of the role will be the involvement of Assembly Process Planning Engineers. You will be translating design information into safe, logical cost-effective manufacturing plants for advanced Assembly build structures. This will include processing bills of material, maintaining design and engineering configuration control, identification of tooling and digital manufacturing process requirements, providing shop floor support to the manufacturing teams

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Minimum of HNC or recognised degree and/or apprenticeship in Manufacturing Engineering, or in a similar subject
  • Engineering Toolset knowledge such as Siemens, PLM (or equivalent Product Lifecycle Management), SAPCAMS, or SFM (Shop Floor Manager), CDP and VAS. CATIA V5
  • Proven experience in specific manufacturing Processes, i.e., Assembly, Carbon Fibre Composites, Machining

Desirable:

  • Experience of Geometric Dimensional Management & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Knowledge of Metrology, Robotics and ALM programming
