Job Purpose

As a Control Engineer (systems) you will operate within the ECC technical office and be trained to be responsible for managing the ECC aspects of the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and telemetry networks, and for all maintenance and change management of the control room systems utilised in ensuring the safe and efficient control of the gas networks. You will be responsible for adherence to Cadent's and ECC's data strategy, ensuring knowledge and understanding of ECC data, and that relevant maintenance and change controls are in place.

Key Responsibilities

In this role as a Control Engineer (systems), we are looking for someone to support the day to day maintenance and development of ECC systems, ensuring data integrity and security of access in line with Cadent and ECC strategy / policy. You will be responsible for system configuration within the SCADA system, managing the design and edit of mimics, and liaising with engineers to support the end-to-end process of site upgrades. You will be required to support the development and review of critical processes, and provide expert user knowledge and experience for future SCADA and Telemetry strategies.

Skills and Experience

As a Control Engineer (systems) we are looking for colleagues with engineering or gas experience, with the willingness to progress their career in engineering. We will support you with on the job training and help you achieve your professional qualifications with appropriate professional bodies such as IGEM, IMechE, IET as appropriate. Team working, strong communication skills and the ability to understand and analyse complex issues is essential.

You will also be required to undertake a National Security Vetting Check as part of the onboarding process.
