Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer / Controls Leader to join our team at Tech Connect Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the representation of the controls team's activities across a diverse range of industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpretation and Alignment: Provide a high level of skill in interpreting customer and regulatory requirements to ensure designs are perfectly aligned to project requirements.
  • Project Change Control: Consult and support the Engineering Leader with project change control for Controls aspects.
  • Technical Feasibility: Support the controls designs team in technical feasibility and alignment to Project topology and gateway success.
  • Design Approval: Approver of designs in programmable systems, PLC, HMI's, Robots, Safety System, Drive System, Vision Systems, SCADA in line with Form 26 design specification including relevant regulatory requirements and application of risk assessment.
  • Resource Planning: Plan resource requirements with Project Manager and Engineering Leader, develop bespoke Controls Systems milestones in order for the Engineering Leader to maintain the design status report of the project.
  • RFQ and Commissioning Plan: Co-write Controls RFQ's plus technical leveling, Commissioning plan, and FAT Specification with Engineering Leader and write bespoke elements of the Automation Summary tracker.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience working for machine developers with increasing skill, knowledge, and responsibility level.
  • Leadership Experience: 2+ years of experience in leading teams of engineers in multiple projects.
  • Automation Background: Experienced within the manufacturing and assembly of automation processes and possess an engineering background in automation.
