St Mary Magdalene CofE School, secondary provision is seeking a Careers Lead to provide oversight for our programme of careers education, information advice and guidance. We require an ambitious, flexible and committed person to further develop our already successful careers programme. The school is looking for an individual with qualified teacher status and we will consider teacher of any subject.

We see the role of Careers Lead as essential in enabling us to deliver the outstanding educational outcomes we want for our community. The Careers Lead will work with staff and pupils across all key stages, but will have a particular strategic role in developing and embedding CEIAG at the end of Key Stage 4 and across the Sixth Form. The ideal candidate will therefore have existing experience of having worked with students at Post-16 as well as Key Stage 3 and 4 with a flair for innovation in order to tailor programmes to the needs of our young people.

As Careers Lead you will work closely with the senior leadership and Sixth Form teams to ensure our pupils are informed and prepared for their next steps. As well as being the Careers Lead you will have a teaching commitment in your main subject for students across the secondary phase.

The ideal candidate for this role would have experience in delivering Careers provision within a school context. Above all we are looking for someone who has a clear strategic vision for what outstanding CEAIG should look like:
