You will be acting as a coordinator between the main Group functions to support the operationalisation of data protection and privacy responsibilities. In addition, you will be supporting the Group privacy team on advisory work relating to the Group's data protection and privacy strategy.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
- Records of Processing Activity – To assist with the Group's data mapping project for the Records of Processing Activity (ROPA). This will require regularly updating the Group and Maison-specific ROPA(s) and collaborating with key business stakeholders to ensure that data privacy requirements are met. As part of this, you will be required to coordinate with key internal legal, technology and risk management departments across the Group and its Maisons.
- Impact Assessments – To support, define, update, and implement impact assessments. This includes Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs), Legitimate Impact Assessments (LIAs) and Artificial Intelligence Impact Assessments. You will assist in the enhancement of the existing processes, coordinate the completion of the assessments with the relevant business owners, and play a crucial role in the validation of assessments and the implementation steps required to update the ROPA.
- Data Subject Requests – To handle timely responses to data subject requests (e.g. data erasure, data access) and maintain compliance documentation at a Group level. To assist the Group Digital Legal team coordinating responsibilities between the various stakeholders dealing with data subject requests and defining global procedures and guidelines.
- Data Retention – Coordinating the analysis of data retention periods and implementing the operational processes to ensure that storage limitation principles are complied with in data processing activities.
- Supporting the Group privacy team – Supporting the Group privacy team on the following responsibilities:
- Assisting with GDPR-related topics, including negotiating data processing agreements and advising on client and HR data-related projects.
- Assisting with training sessions for Richemont and its Maisons' internal legal and commercial teams.
- Keeping Richemont and its Maisons up to date with changes in national data protection laws worldwide.
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
- Bachelor/Master degree.
- Privacy Certification is a plus (CIPP/E, CIPM.)
- Two years or more of work experience in a similar role (compliance, business legal function).
- Experience with privacy-related technology solutions (e.g. OneTrust)
- This is a fast-moving area with a volume of new work constantly creating the need for reprioritisation of resources. It also requires a great deal of commitment to keeping up to date with new laws and regulations.
- Key personal strengths include initiative and proactivity, responsiveness, strong stakeholder management capabilities, outstanding oral and written communication skills, strong analytical skills and focus on detail and structure while preserving effectiveness, keenness to learn and to share.
- Native or fluent in English; with French language being a plus.
- Digitally savvy, good command of Microsoft Office (in particular Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and shared work and project management environments (e.g. SharePoint).
