The Role

As a key member of the Financial Crime Team, this newly built role will lead LSEG's Financial Crime Intelligence Unit and will drive implementation of a Financial Crime Intelligence framework and be responsible for training and embedding new procedures within the Financial Crime Team and across the Group.

The role will also include carrying out internal and external Financial Crime investigations where LSEG has been put at loss, or risk of loss.

Role Responsibilities
  • Act as SME for Financial Crime Intelligence and Investigations for the Group; effectively acting as a business partner with a variety of internal and external parties
  • Lead the development, implementation and improvement of the Financial Crime Intelligence Framework along with supporting standards, operating procedures and policies
  • Support the development of colleagues in delivering activity supporting the Financial Crime Intelligence Framework and embedding key intelligence principles across the Financial Crime Team
  • Guide more junior Financial Crime staff as a people leader, including recruitment, mentoring, training and supervising quality of work (where applicable)
  • Lead on the development of Financial Crime awareness material (both internally and externally) to increase awareness of Financial Crime and support our customers, clients, third parties and employees
  • Lead Financial Crime Intelligence engagement across the Group ensuring that LSEG is briefed on emerging legal and regulatory changes
  • Undertake Financial Crime investigations from outset to completion
  • Undertake and coordinate the drafting of Financial Crime Intelligence and investigation reports
  • Manage escalations into the Financial Crime Team ensuring appropriate subject matter experts are briefed and emerging issues dealt with within appropriate timeframes
  • Lead on the development and implementation of Financial Crime Management Information including supporting delivery of KRIs and important metrics Qualifications & Experience -
    • Degree or equivalent and / or relevant professional qualifications
    • Significant knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal requirements across Financial Crime including Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Fraud, Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions, Terrorist Financing and Tax Evasion.
    • Financial Crime intelligence practitioner or SME as appropriate to role with experience of working in 2LOD
    • Experience in managing intelligence relationships with internal and external partners
    • SC" clearance or willingness to undertake SC" clearance
    • Significant experience in undertaking Financial Crime investigations
