We are recruiting for a Junior Data Scientist who is passionate about solving problems. This is not your average data scientist role, this role is about giving you the autonomy to solve problems which directly impact our daily lives whether it is our television viewing habits, radio listening habits to other forms of media consumption.

What will I be doing?
  • This role is a central Operation role in the day-to-day work of our specialised audience measurement data team. Working in this role, you will be:
  • Creating Release Spec documentation and reports
  • Overseeing timely release processing to ensure all input files are available, all lookups are updated accordingly, and blockers are identified and rectified.
  • Coordination of the standardising and automation of release processes
  • Supporting the map digitisation process of points of interest across the market
  • Overseeing the execution of the code to determine compliance of data for ingestion into modelling algorithms
  • Engaging with stakeholders across the business and Managing good professional relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Responsibility for the documentation system used internally and by the client
  • Assuring quality control and quality assurance of team data production capabilities
What do I need to bring with me?
  • Expertise in Python
  • Google cloud associate level (or background in IT, software development) desirable
  • Interest in AI and machine learning desirable
  • Experience in working with large data sets from a range of data sources
  • SPSS experience desirable
  • Background in data, IT, computing or, otherwise, a related mathematical background
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Confidence, integrity and perseverance in undertaking challenging and complex projects and the capability to inspire these qualities in others
  • Willingness to share knowledge and keenness to learn
  • Time management skills, Project management a plus
  • Strong team player with ability and willingness to work independently
  • Good communicator to a range of stakeholders with a friendly manner
