A brilliant opportunity for a dynamic and driven individual to deliver on solutions to meet local housing need and progress your own career in housing. You will have the ability to engage with applicable stakeholders and take the initiative in respect of affordable housing development and strategic housing activity, including helping to contribute to the Replacement Local Development Plan, and develop meaningful housing solutions particularly around preventing homelessness and supporting Social Care and Health priorities.

Our Purpose:

To support the co-ordination of strategic housing development and co-ordinating the delivery of affordable housing.

You'll be part of a wider housing team delivering on homelessness, assistive technology, private sector housing, housing support and disabled adaptations.

The Purpose Of This Role:

  • Co-ordinate the delivery of affordable housing including engaging proactively with registered social landlords and facilitate them meet the requirements and priorities of the Council.
  • To support the co-ordination, development implementation of the Local Housing Strategy and associated activities, including the Housing Partnership.
  • Identify and monitor the local housing market, housing need and demand for Monmouthshire to inform strategic development, including housing needs relating to Social Care and Gypsy & Traveller pitch needs.
  • To develop housing related strategies, policies and procedures and in so doing, provide support to operational delivery.
  • Co-ordinate the delivery of housing solutions, including affordable housing that supports wider priorities, particularly homeless prevention, Social Care and Health priorities
  • To lead on arising key projects and initiatives.
