We are currently recruiting for an exciting new delivery role, within our One Engineering Function.

The successful candidate will have significant experience delivering high value, complex infrastructure programmes and will lead large technical multi-disciplinary teams through the lifecycle of delivery.

This role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to build and leverage delivery partnerships to achieve engineering solutions that are both regulatory and meet programme requirements.

Head of Engineering - Delivery

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for exceptional candidates who will bring their wide engineering qualifications, experience and skill sets, to make a personal, positive difference and:

  • Provide inspirational leadership to a multi-disciplinary team with diverse skills and experience and build high performing teams associated with Engineering Infrastructure projects
  • Act as the Senior Accountable Design Authority
  • Deliver engineering solutions across the life cycle (conception, design, construction, commissioning and handover)
  • Create a positive, collaborative and diverse working environment where you can easily identify and grow talent whilst increasing the quality and speed of performance
  • Lead engineering regulatory interfaces to ensure Engineering solutions meet associated regulatory requirements
  • Deliver holistic engineering solutions and delivery strategies across the portfolio that improves efficiency, effectiveness and quality
  • Demonstrate strong business and commercial acumen
  • Act as an ambassador for AWE demonstrating excellent interpersonal, engagement and presentation skills
  • Have experience operating confidently at a strategic level and to assimilate and analyse information quickly to assess and debate complex issues at the highest level

  • Chartered Membership of an appropriate professional institution

  • Directing high performing and motivated engineering teams with the ability to embrace diversity of thought and constructively challenge people's behaviour and work methodologies
  • Thought leadership and drive innovation for first of a kind standardisation across the engineering solution
