Beech Hall School is looking for two experienced and dynamic Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to join their friendly and supportive team, to support students in the Seniors (Yrs The core purpose of this role is to support specific pupils within the classroom environment, small group situations and on a one-to-one basis as required. LSAs will work with teaching staff to raise the learning and attainment of pupils whilst also promoting their independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. Experience of working with children with SEN is highly advantageous.

This is a challenging and varied role and an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated person with good interpersonal skills with ideally previous experience of delivering support for the teaching and learning across the board.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, able to use their own initiative and can work well in a team situation. The candidate will follow the direction of the teacher whilst also understanding the child they are working with and how to differentiate the task appropriately to suit their needs.

Duties will include running specific programmes and activities to assist the pupil's individual learning and social needs. The candidates will also be responsible for implementing the targets on the pupils' School Focus Plan (SFP) in liaison with the class teacher and SENDCo.

It is expected that all staff will attend staff briefings before and after school (on set days), complete break and lunchtime duties, training, inset days, extra-curricular activities and meetings as appropriate.
