Manpower is recruiting for a Post Processing Technician for a client based in Abingdon The ideal candidate will have previous experience in post processing of additively manufactured metal parts.
As a Post Processing Technician, you will play a crucial role in the finalization of our additively manufactured metal parts. Your responsibilities will primarily involve laser marking, support removal, ultrasonic cleaning, and tumbling processes to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and aesthetics.
Details:
- 14.40 per hour
- Monday to Friday
- 13:30 - 22:00
- Abingdon based.
Key Responsibilities include:
Laser Marking:
- Operate laser marking equipment to apply identification codes, serial numbers, and other markings on metal parts according to specifications.
- Ensure accuracy and legibility of markings while adhering to established procedures and quality standards.
Support Removal:
- Utilise appropriate tools and techniques to remove support structures from additively manufactured parts without causing damage to the components.
- Inspect parts for residual support material and ensure thorough removal to meet quality requirements.
Ultrasonic Cleaning:
- Set up and operate ultrasonic cleaning equipment to remove contaminants and debris from metal parts.
Tumbling:
- Perform tumbling processes to deburr, smooth, and polish additively manufactured parts.
Quality Control:
- Conduct visual inspections of processed parts to identify any defects, surface imperfections, or inconsistencies.
- Document & report quality issues or deviations from specifications to appropriate personnel for resolution.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in post processing of additively manufactured metal parts is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in operating laser marking equipment, support removal tools, ultrasonic cleaners, and tumbling machines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high quality standards under tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
