Whats the role?
Supporting the Finance Managers, you will really get involved in all aspects of the business, working closely with everyone on a variety of tasks.
There are new projects to implement, new customers to integrate, a large fleet to manage.The list goes on, but heres a few more specifics:
Regular accounting is covered by the Management Accountants, but support is always welcome at times such as end of month, year end audit and with that extra stubborn reconciliation etc.
Supervision of the purchase ledger day to day to make sure we are paying the right people the right amounts at the right time.
Reviewing revenue to ensure invoices are raised promptly, any accruals are correct and that they are converted to invoices as soon as possible.
Providing cover for finance holidays just to make everyones return to work a little calmer
Having knowledge and assisting with the payroll function P11Ds etc.
As you go about your day to day, identifying and implementing any improvements relating to financial processes and systems in collaboration with the Finance Managers.
You can also put some faces to the names and understand all the workings of our Group a little better while you are there.
Ad hoc duties there is always something that needs doing
This role will involve lots of on-the-job training and support, but further professional study support is also available if desired.
You'll be a part qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or qualified by experience, looking for the next opportunity in a role where you can really make a difference.
With a keen eye for errors and excellent analytical skills, You'll be a confident communicator building relationships throughout the Group with all from drivers through to directors.
You'll be willing to travel around the UK if required with the occasional overnight stop so as to really get involved with the Group at all levels.
Also, we mustnt forget, a good sense of humour is essential
