A great opportunity has arisen within our team to work as Broker Support, and continue our success in the Casualty & Specialty Team.

What can you expect?

  • You will be responsible for coordinating all placement support activities and delivering proactive, valued support within our client teams. Broker Support prompts and monitors key activities and tasks throughout the reinsurance placement to promote efficient and timely compliance with our best practice processes.
  • The nature of the role has some flexibility and whilst experience in the reinsurance industry is desirable, a dynamic and dedicated candidate with little experience will be considered and provided with training opportunities.
  • You will be actively engaged with both internal and external stakeholders, to deliver excellent and efficient service to our clients.
  • This role presents a superb opportunity to learn and develop within reinsurance broker support, with career pathway options through the broker support role allowing the successful candidate an insight into the Broking duties and responsibilities.

We will rely on you to:

  • Assist with reviews of client renewal information.
  • Initiate the contract drafting process, updates and production of final contract documentation.
  • Assist brokers and prepare submissions, where required.
  • Track placement status of assigned accounts and update information as necessary.
  • Maintain core placement files to ensure we evidence all best practice procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Respond to client requests for information (reinsurer, financial reports, industry issues, etc.)
  • On boarding of new clients and markets.
  • Key responsibility for compliance policies – sanctions referrals, Third Parties, AML & ABC.
  • Access front-end broking systems.
  • Monitor and report on business metrics.
  • Build a strong relationship with our Service Team and an understanding of accounting and claims.
  • Actively participate in team, client and reinsurer meetings.

What you need to have:

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
  • A keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • A high level of communication skills, essential for establishing good working relationships.
  • Experience of working as technician within the reinsurance sector would be advantageous.
