'Kingsdale Foundation School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and inspiring professional with a proven track record of SEND delivery to join our outstanding Learning Support Faculty as a: Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator TLR1A ~ £9,750

The main purpose of the role is to be the lead SENDCo in the promotion, direction and overseeing of high standards of teaching and learning, pupil achievement and progression, for all pupils with additional educational needs.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of teaching students with SEND, operate as the school's lead SENCO and will have completed the NASENCO qualification or be committed to working to achieve it. S/he will possess a good working knowledge of the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice.

This is an exciting career opportunity for an exceptional candidate. The successful candidate, working in collaboration with the Faculty Director, will be able to:


• Think strategically to ensure effective provision to the full cohort of pupils with additional needs.


• oversee the day-to-day operation of the school's Special Educational Needs policy


• Adopt an outcomes focused approach aimed at reducing the gap in progress and attainment for students with additional needs


• co-ordinate the deployment of TAs to ensure that all our young people receive the most appropriate and effective support


• complete Annual Reviews in line with CoP guidelines


• advise & train staff on SEND strategies to support students in the classroom


• Lead, develop and deliver our Nurture programme for the less able in Year 7
