Key Objectives/ Deliverables

Finance Assistant is reporting to the Head of Commercial.

Key tasks are under the responsibilities below but this will not be an exhaustive list and it will be developed as a new role to support new business.

  1. Responsibilities

These responsibilities are to assist the Head of Commercial in a variety of duties to ensure successful outcomes are timely and accurate :-

  • Process Sales invoicing as required and maintain electronic folders with PO
  • Generate Sales invoicing on our system and on Customers portal.
  • Process Customer Sales orders onto our system by project to invoice.
  • Maintain customer PO status table.
  • Maintain Revenue and Recognised Revenue Journals for the project with delivery backup.
  • Maintain Dashboards to Team regarding Invoicing/Accrued revenue and Debtors status.
  • Assist with chasing receipting of completed Sales orders.
  • Monitor Aged Debtors report.
  • Monitor and chase any accrued revenue to invoice by Site.
  • Review and Approve project contractor & supplier invoice costs.
  • Review Project Supplier/Contractor cost accruals.
  • Track Customer retrospective monthly costs.
  • Be aligned with the customer project agreement along with the project business case for commercial / audit compliance.
  • Review/improve/develop existing commercial project processes.
  • Review and Report to Delivery the actuals vs expected.
  • Project cost analysis to help improve on budget and suggestions to improve projected margins.
  • Work with Logistics to track and reconcile stock to make sure orders are placed and in line with deliverables.
  • Highlight potential problems to management.
