Information Technology (IT) provides technology and digital services to the staff and students, including front-line support services, infrastructure, applications, and project delivery. The Director of Digital Innovation is a key member of the new IT Leadership team.

Responsibilities

The role holder will lead on the adoption of innovative and disruptive digital technologies to improve the efficiencies of City's current core business processes (across Professional Services), including delivering foundational technology platforms and infrastructure for Digital Education. They will form City's Digital Innovation strategy working closely with senior stakeholders across City, ensure the successful adoption of technologies to automate processes and deliver efficiency benefits.

Person Specification

We are seeking an inspirational and people focused leader with experience of implementing digital innovation technologies and platforms to deliver digital services to a wide range of functional areas, specifically with experience of AI, RPA, and Automation. The role-holder will have extensive experience across all IT service delivery areas including networks, infrastructure, operations, and application development. Additionally, strong stakeholder management, outstanding communication, financial management, planning, and delivery skills are required. Experience of working in higher education is advantageous.
