Spire London East Hospital are looking to recruit experienced and committed Scrub Practitioner to join our friendly operating theatre team. Consultants come to work with us from all across the UK and you will work closely with them and be exposed to the latest innovative, evidence-based clinical techniques.

Most important is that our Theatre staff are experienced in a variety of surgical procedures, or are willing to learn new procedures and techniques under expert supervision. Spire London East Hospital (formerly Spire Roding) is located in Redbridge, on the borders of East London and Essex. We offer comprehensive private hospital services, ranging from outpatient clinics and physiotherapy to surgery and diagnostic tests in a relaxed, clean and comfortable environment.

The hospital has 24 inpatient beds and 16 day case rooms called 'pods'. Facilities include 4 operating theatres, an endoscopy suite, 2 extended recovery units, pharmacy, x-ray, outpatient and diagnostic facilities

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Supporting in assessing patient's health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload
  • Assist in the delivery of care to meet the patient's needs in an extremely busy department
  • Prepping and looking after patients after their surgery
  • Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information
  • Promoting best practice and contributing towards quality improvements

Who we're looking for:

  • Be NMC/HCPC registered - your pin should not have any restrictions or conditions
  • Have a minimum of 2 years Scrub experience
  • You will be an enthusiastic, dedicated team player and also used to working with minimum supervision
  • ALS and Airway Maintenance certifications would be desirable, though not essential - Training opportunities are available
  • University accredited SFA course is also desirable but not essential
