My client based in Worcester is currently looking to grow their IT Team with a skilled 2nd Line Support Engineer. My client is a Managed Service Provider, committed to delivering exceptional IT support services to a diverse client base including local schools, SMEs, and charities. With a mission is to help clients achieve their goals through innovative technology solutions and outstanding customer service.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced 2nd Line Engineer who is looking to get involved in complex project work with a clear route of progression.
The Role: As a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will be a key player in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' IT systems. Your responsibilities will include:
- Resolving complex technical issues escalated from the 1st Line Support team.
- Providing remote and on-site support to clients.
- Managing and maintaining client IT systems, including servers, networks, and hardware.
- Proactively identifying and addressing potential IT issues.
- Assisting with the implementation of new technologies and solutions.
- Collaborating with the team to improve processes and service delivery.
- A minimum of 2 year of experience in a 1st or 2nd Line Support role within a Managed Service Provider environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Experience with server administration and network troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
