Marketing Executive, Ebury
Do you love pop culture and the world of entertainment, or are you more passionate about wellbeing and self-improvement? Are you a creative, adaptable and organised self-starter with strong communication skills?
We're looking for two Marketing Executives for our Spotlight and Self Hubs, to work on audience-first idea generation and delivering impactful book marketing campaigns that drive sales.
Ebury's unique hub model blends editorial, publicity and marketing, and feeds on idea generation and collaboration across every area of the team. We invest in and value our creative and open culture. These roles will sit in our Spotlight and Self Hubs, with a focus on entertainment and sport and self-help and personal development publishing respectively.
The team
Ebury is the UK's largest dedicated non-fiction publisher and winner of Publisher of the Year at the 2024 British Book Awards. We are home to bestselling authors ranging from Yotam Ottolenghi to Molly-Mae Hague, Gabor Maté to Charlie Mackesy. We are a dynamic and agile team, constantly discovering new talent, creating bestsellers, and growing author brands.
About the role
As part of the Ebury Communications team, you'll help take our books to new audiences, working closely with authors, agents, editors, publicity, sales and international to deliver engaging and joined-up marketing activity.
Day to day, you'll liaise with authors as well as our Sales, Editorial and Design teams to create stand out marketing campaigns that generate social media buzz, word of mouth excitement, pre-orders and book sales. Our Communications team's main role is to connect our books, brands and authors to the right audience, you'll reflect this in your ideas, strategy, plan and campaign content. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your marketing skills. You'll create promotional materials, execute digital-first campaigns and deal with brand and media partners for our books.
What you'll bring
You'll manage your own campaigns and also assist Campaign Managers and the Head of Campaigns, so we're looking for someone really enthusiastic with plenty of ideas. Additionally, we are looking for someone who is self-starting, can manage multiple deadlines, and prioritise with confidence. An understanding of social media and how to reach different audiences is key.
You will be an organised, flexible team player and have good communication skills to present ideas and feedback on team projects. You'll be creating target-driven marketing campaigns and build relationships with influencers and brands.
