Title:

Quality Engineer

The Role

The Quality Engineer will report to the Quality Manager to provide support and be responsible for tracking and updating various registers in the common data environment with the inputs from the Quality Manager and NEC4 Supervisors.

Responsibilities include providing guidance and direction on quality management across Project and setting and implementing appropriate quality standards, processes, and procedures for project via Management System.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the project Integrated Management System
  • Review of Subcontractor Verification Activities to ensure compliance with project Requirements
  • Performing Quality Audits and System Reviews in line with the project Audit Schedule
  • Weekly On-Site Monitoring of QC activities by the NEC4 Supervisors to ensure compliance with project Requirements
  • Attend Quarterly on-site Quality Forum with Quality Manager
  • Supporting the capture and tracking of NCR's, CAR's, Audit Reports
  • Attend Design Reviews where required to ensure Quality Requirements have been agreed and Captured within the design
  • Identifying and communicate learning from Experience though the project lifecycle
  • Gathering and compiling of Quality Related data for Monthly Reporting
  • Undertake Quality Inductions and any other Quality related training (CFSI) to all new Employees
  • Reporting of Subcontractor documentation status (Acceptance/Rejections) after reviews
  • Weekly reports to Quality Manager and SPM/PM concerning on site Quality Activities
  • Presentation to sub-contractor Quality Representatives on a Quarterly basis at project Quality Forum
  • Submit Quality KPI's and Quality related deliverable information to Quality Manager for Monthly reporting

We we Need

Experience in a Quality function within Delivery Operations-Service MRO, Project Delivery, and/or the Energy, Manufacturing, or Defence industries.

Proven track record in large scale projects in the nuclear or similar regulated sector, including major EPC projects.

Experience with auditing.

Location

1-2 days onsite, rest of time in office (Glasgow)

Qualifications

ONC/HNC in Engineering discipline

Auditor Qualification

Associate Member CQI

CCNSG Safety Passport

Desirable

Accredited training qualifying towards registration (e.g. Practitioner Member) of a recognised professional institution (e.g. CQI)

IOSH Managing Safely

Lead Auditor Qualification

Visual Welding Inspection Qualification

Security Requirements

You must have, or be eligible for, SC clearance.
