Tenant Engagement Officer

Ashfield District Council has an exciting opportunity for a Tenant Engagement Officer to join our housing team. We are looking for an experienced engagement officer to work closely with council tenants, leaseholders, and other stakeholders, ensuring their voice is heard in our decision making, service delivery and development.
The successful candidate will: -
- Play a key role in the Council's compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead on the delivery of tenant engagement activities and developing the Council's Tenant Involvement Strategy.
- Have previous experience in a Tenant, Resident or Community Engagement Role.
- Have knowledge of the regulations guiding tenant involvement activities and tenant involvement methods and options, including the application of sector best practice/innovation.
- Have a proven track record of leading service improvement through customer engagement.
- Understand the issues social housing residents can face, the barriers this can create to engagement and how to overcome these.
- Have a high level of written communication, including the ability to write reports and letters, along with the creation and management of action plans.
- Have excellent communication skills.
