We are recruiting for an Intensive Support Worker here at South Holland District Council. The role is fixed term until March 2025.

You will join a successful team to ensure that the Council both meets and excels in its statutory duties towards homeless applicants and homelessness prevention.

Do you want to help end the experience of repeated homeless for individuals? We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and resilient individual who is passionate about making positive changes to peoples lives. Previous experience of working in an intensive supporting focused environment in either the Public, Private or Voluntary sector is welcomed

You will actively engage and motivate rough sleepers requiring support, taking a creative, strengths-based, and person-centred approach to help prevent homelessness both now and in the future. You will also:

  • Make decisions on homelessness and housing need in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures operating within the department.
  • Plan and prioritise a caseload and pro-actively visiting clients in their home, organising and facilitating joint visits with external agencies
  • Develop detailed action plans with service user and also produce reports on casework outcomes and provide statistical information to management
