Foster Wales Conwy is your Local Authority fostering service. We are part of Foster Wales, the national network of 22 Welsh Local Authority not-for-profit fostering services, all working together to build better futures for children in Wales.
As a Fostering Recruitment Officer, you will be part of a dedicated and experienced team who are passionate about making a difference for children and young people in our care. Experience in Marketing and social media will be advantageous.
You will help us raise awareness of fostering and increase the number of foster carers in Conwy, ensuring that children stay local, when it's right for them, rather than having to move away from everything that's familiar to them.
You will get to know and work closely with our amazing foster families, sharing real stories of their experiences to strike a chord with potential foster carers. By being a real people person, you will be comfortable engaging with the public and have the ability to listen, reassure and build trusting relationships, encouraging local people from all walks of life to consider fostering with their local authority.
You will have a flexible working pattern, whether that's sometimes at home, in the office or out and about meeting people face-to-face within the community and attending local events. You'll be the one that has the time to talk to local people about fostering, and to answer all their questions.
Your support and knowledge could make all the difference to people who might be talking themselves out of fostering.
As the first point of contact for the Foster Wales Conwy team, you will be the one to guide people on their journey to be great foster carers.
