Role Overview:

In this role, you'll ensure compliance with financial policies, serve as a primary contact for acquisitions and financial analysis, and address various financial concerns. Your skills and insights will be vital to maintaining Ebury's financial health and guiding strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Management Accounts: Prepare comprehensive profit and loss statements, post journals, and generate overhead reports.
  • Invoice Management: Check and code invoices accurately.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyse the performance of new and older titles, reporting on various genres.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare budgets and forecasts, verify title-specific costs, and compile KPI packs for distribution.
  • Acquisition Assessment: Conduct profit and loss assessments on acquisitions, determining appropriate bonus advances.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to review and update marketing expenditures.
  • In-depth Analysis: Provide robust analysis on authors, titles, and markets to support decision-making.
  • Internal Collaboration: Liaise with internal partners such as Group Finance, Royalties Rights, Contracts, Sales, and Editorial teams.
  • Financial Communication: Convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Working towards or holding a professional accounting qualification.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Highly organized with the ability to work independently and under supervision.
  • Power BI experience is a plus.

Minimum criteria

  • Strong experience of using Excel
  • At least 12 months experience in a similar financial position
