The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, a passion for the healthcare industry, and the ability to make informed investment decisions. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior portfolio managers, with a view to progress to a junior PM position in a highly meritocratic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management and monitoring of healthcare equity positions.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of healthcare companies, including financial modeling, valuation, and competitive analysis.
  • Generate investment ideas and provide recommendations to senior portfolio managers.
  • Investment strategy development, including Idea Generation, Due Diligence, Stock Selection
  • Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting the healthcare sector.
  • Participate in meetings with company management, industry conferences, and other events to gather insights and inform investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with the research team to develop sector-specific investment strategies.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience as a Fundamental Equity Analyst, with a focus on healthcare equities.
  • Candidates will be considered from Long Only Asset Managers, L/S Hedge Funds, or Equity Research teams at Bulge Bracket Banks.
  • Experience in Long / Short equities, whilst not required, would be highly advantageous.
  • A demonstrable interest in public markets investments, and a passion for healthcare equities.
