We wish to appoint a Research Assistant to work on a project with the TIMELY Team, in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Cambridge. The TIMELY Team is working to build clinically useful digital tools to predict mental health problems in children and young people and support prevention pathways. This project is an exciting opportunity to work with multiple agencies, collaborate with industry, and make a meaningful impact on children's mental health.

The appointee will work with the Research Associate leading the project, along with other members of the team at the University of Cambridge (Dr Anna Moore). This role is funded by the UKRI Future Leaders Fund and the Mental Health Mission.

The initial project is focused on developing data resources and predictive models of risk for mental health outcomes among children and young people. The Research Assistant will use unique datasets including the SAIL Databank and a new dataset called CADRE, each of which combine data from healthcare, social care, education, and other agencies.

Using a prepared list of risk factors, the Research Assistant will compare model performance of single- versus multi-agency data. The Research Assistant will assist in preparing metadata for CADRE, including a data catalogue. Future projects will involve similar work as TIMELY Team projects develop. The Research Assistant will be responsible for some administrative and support tasks for the team. They will be supervised by the project lead and will participate in team meetings. Contribution to publications will be needed. All necessary training will be provided.

Candidates should have a Degree, Masters or equivalent in a relevant field of study.
