Our client, based in Portsmouth, are an SME venture specialising in the maritime manufacturing and production sector. A fantastic opportunity for a senior finance professional to join has arisen, in the form of a Finance Manager.
Description
- Purchase and sales ledger management
- Coordinate payroll (including auto-enrolment pensions)
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Support the raising and distributing of invoices
- Diligent debt collection of all overdue invoices
- Issue monthly account statements to trade accounts
- Manage team expenses and all banking transactions related to payroll and accounts payable
- Take ownership of accounting package and bank
- Ensure POs match bills received
- Monitor stock between MRP system
- Reconcile all accounts
- Close monthly books and raise appropriate journals
- Reconcile monthly VAT and submit returns
- Manage fixed assets records
- Maintain cash flow forecast
- Compile monthly management accounts
- Target completion by the second Wednesday of each following month
- Update company KPIs
- Produce reports for the sales team
- Monitor budgets set
- Support accountancy company with year-end reporting
Profile
- Previous experience working in an SME environment
- ACCA/CIMA qualified or QBE
- Knowledge of Xero
- well rounded Finance experience
