The Green Recruitment Company is excited to offer a unique opportunity for a seasoned HVDC Project Manager to lead a pivotal Utility Scale Renewable Energy Project in Lancashire. This 12-month contract role offers an attractive day rate of £500 per day, designed for a dynamic leader keen to drive transformative change in the energy sector.

About the Role:

As an HVDC Project Manager, you will take charge of implementing high-voltage direct current technology within a major renewable energy initiative. Your leadership will ensure the project's success from inception to completion, aligning with strict timelines and budget constraints. You will manage a diverse team, coordinate with contractors, and liaise with stakeholders to seamlessly integrate innovative energy solutions into the grid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and execution of HVDC project plans, ensuring alignment with broader project goals and industry standards.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, collaborating closely with senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Plan, schedule, and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Manage project budget and resource allocation effectively.
  • Facilitate team and stakeholder meetings, fostering open communication and ensuring project transparency.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive solutions to challenges.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in managing HVDC projects, particularly within the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and directing a project team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using project management software and tools.
  • A relevant degree in engineering, project management, or related fields is highly preferred.
