Position Statement:
The role of Senior Analyst for US Credit Cards at Hilton involves overseeing the day-to-day operations essential for the smooth functioning of the Treasury Accounting department at Hilton's UK Centre of Excellence.
Collaborating with Managers and the Treasury Accounting team is essential to achieve the department's strategic objectives and ensure accurate and timely reporting for around 250 hotels.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, US Banking, the Senior Analyst will manage Treasury Accounting processes according to set timelines and Service Level Agreements. The primary focus is on delivering a seamless, efficient, and customer-oriented service that optimizes productivity without compromising quality.
A keen eye for maximizing process efficiency and effectiveness is crucial in this role. Participation in change programs and striving for excellence are key responsibilities.
Effective communication, both internally and with external stakeholders, is vital for success in this role, along with project management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Essential Functions:Organizing Activities
- Execute and coordinate all Banking tasks as directed by management within specified timelines
- Identify and implement process enhancements in collaboration with management
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end processes in US Banking to deliver effective solutions
- Coordinate day-to-day activities with the team to ensure timely completion of all Hotel Accounting tasks
- Support the Manager in providing relevant metrics and driving business improvements
- Assist in evaluating current processes for efficiency and implement necessary enhancements
- Ensure adherence to monthly closing activities and reporting deadlines
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and address any outstanding items promptly
- Handle US credit card processes with consistency and adherence to controls
- Perform daily reconciliation of credit card receivable accounts within defined processes
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items promptly
- Review and propose changes to automatch rules
- Maintain MID database integrity and collaborate with third-party providers for process refinement
- Conduct analytical reviews to identify areas for improvement and work with stakeholders for mitigation
- Act as the US Credit Card liaison for Hotels and Corporate functions regarding the US Banking process
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX compliance, including documentation maintenance
- Support audits by coordinating documentation collection and responding to auditor inquiries
- Adhere to Treasury Accounting policies and procedures updates
- Facilitate SOX controls compliance and provide recommendations for control enhancements
- Respond to information requests from internal departments and management
- Execute and coordinate all credit card tasks as assigned, ensuring timely completion and goal achievement
- Identify and implement process improvements in consultation with management
- Show comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end processes in US Banking for effective problem-solving
- Assist Management in workload allocation and training initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Relevant work experience in accounting or Treasury/Banking
- Intermediate/final stages of recognized accounting qualification
- Some supervisory experience
