We are in search of a HR Administrator to join the Schools Human Resources Team to provide support to the traded HR service to our schools, Children's Centre's, and some services within Education and Learning Division. Your main responsibility will be offering professional administration support to Head teachers, Schools Leaders, Governors, and School Business Managers on a variety of HR issues and statutory duties that the Local Authority carries out concerning its schools and in the wider context of School Improvement.
The Role

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with keen attention to detail, experience in assisting various stakeholders, and fostering productive relationships with Headteachers, Governors, Managers, and Trade Unions.

Your primary focus will involve providing HR support and administration to Schools that are part of the Schools HR Service Level Agreement and to the Schools HR team. You will play a role in supporting the Schools HR team in administrative functions and system development. Additionally, you will assist schools by offering guidance on different HR policies, especially those related to Maternity, Paternity, Adoption, and Shared Parental Leave. Your responsibilities will also include aiding the Head of School's HR in managing the team's budget.

About You
  • Proven experience in delivering administrative support in an HR department within a customer-centric organization
  • Proficiency in system development, including the utilization of Microsoft Office 365
  • Familiarity or experience with fundamental HR procedures
