In this role, you will: Build and optimise data pipelines using PySpark, SparkSQL & Databricks to ingest and enrich data. Organise data to enable business users, innovate and extract value. Collaborate with various business units to understand their data needs and deliver impactful solutions. Engage in cross-functional teamwork, fostering strong relationships within the data team and beyond. Play a pivotal role in Asda's digital and data transformation journey, leveraging analytics to shape our future. Let's find out about you Experience acquiring structured, semi-structured and unstructured data from various sources, including databases, blob storage, API's and event streams. Experience with SQL and/or Python data pipelines - Exposure to or expertise in PySpark, SparkSQL or Databricks is advantageous. A grasp on the concepts around data modelling in an enterprise – understanding of Data Vault is a bonus. An understanding of Cloud technologies and their place in the Data world – experience with Azure is a plus. Any experience with streaming analytics is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
