Treasurer

Wild Arts is a growing opera and music charity. Its goal: to bring sustainable, world-class music to everyone, Wild Arts reinvents opera in fresh and vibrant productions with quality at their core. It stages an opera tour and opera evenings in the summer, the Roman River Festival in the autumn, the Messiah at Christmas and a range of other concerts during the year. It also works with schools and young artists. In 2023 it performed to more than 6,000 people across 37 venues and 42 performances.

We are looking for a volunteer Treasurer, someone with accounting experience, who could help oversee the charity's finances, working with the Trustees, Lead Producer and Bookkeeper. The charity is keen to maintain and improve our financial controls as we grow. The role is to:

• Report to and advise the Trustees and Lead Producer on financial management, reporting controls and risk management
  
• Review financial and risk management processes
  
• Monitor financial controls, for example, reconciliations
  
• Support the Bookkeeper on, for example, gift aid or charity accounting questions
  
• Attend 4 Trustee meetings (usually online)
  
• Lead Finance Group meetings (usually online)
  
• Liaise with Independent Examiner
