Our client is a multi-site manufacturing business based in Wythenshawe, who are looking for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join their small finance team and support the production of the month end accounts alongside the Financial Controller.

This is a small business with big plans and part of a wider group so the role will offer you lots of autonomy and then chance to develop your accounting skills with a fabulous mentor.

Duties will include: -
  • Manage the processing of the sales ledger invoices and monitor the payments.
  • Monitor the daily banking and reconciliation of the cashflow.
  • Responsible for all purchase ledger invoices with full processing and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Compile the monthly payroll for all employers across two sites.
  • Prepare the supplier payment schedule on a weekly basis.
  • Manage the import ledger and supplier information.
  • Responsible for the credit control for the business, providing accurate and timely collection of monies owed.
  • Report the company expenses and process payments.
  • Be a solid communicator with both suppliers and customers via the phone and email.
  • Continually develop the controls and processing around the transactional reporting.

    The successful candidate will be looking to develop their month end reporting exposure but have already gained a solid background in ledger management and payment processing.

    You will be good with Excel reports and ideally be AAT qualified, (although not essential), with a couple of years of accounts experience already. Moving forward the candidate can look to develop further through support from a good reporting manager and one to one mentoring as well as a good study package.
