We may be one of the smallest unitaries in the country, but there's nothing modest about our ambitions.

You have responsibility for developing and delivering strategies to promote a preventative approach to the needs of children through the delivery of an integrated early help offer, based around family hubs and inclusive of the 0-19 child health programme. Your position also includes responsibility for children's commissioning, childcare and early years, and quality assurance and review. Providing strategic leadership in relation to all areas of responsibility, you will need to sustain our culture of high expectation, high support and high challenge.

You will also be expected to actively contribute to cross-cutting corporate work in Hartlepool and the development of new and innovative models for practice. If you are forward-thinking, aspirational, inspirational, resilient, fair and dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people we want to hear from you.

You will have proven experience in delivering services to children, young people and their families and the ability to deliver continuous improvement ensuring services effectively meet the needs of those who require them.
