About the role & the site

This role is on a permanent basis, Monday to Friday, working 35 hours per week.

The Service Quality Dispensing Manager position will be reporting to an Associate Director, Service Quality. You can work on hybrid bases or fully remotely with occasional travel to the office in Winnersh.

BD Winnersh is the UK headquarters and the office is located in the modern Winnersh Triangle Business Park, Wokingham, Berkshire with approx. 690 employees.

You will be supporting MMS International Group and will provide leadership and expertise in the daily running of the Service and Repair processes relating to the MMS Dispensing businesses. This role would support related Quality Management System (QMS) processes and Post Market Surveillance activities within the Service Quality functional area for BD PyxisTM, BD RowaTM and BD CATOTM platforms, and other platforms that may join the business. Through proactive communication across the organization, effective problem solving and active vigilance on applicable requirements, the Associate drives compliance and effectiveness for Service Quality processes.

The Associate is also expected to work closely with the Global Customer Services function as well as the Legal Manufacturers of the platforms. The Associate will put the customer at the centre of everything they do to enhance the internal and external technical service value proposition.

Initially, this role will be an exploratory role to understand the platform process and develop plans to bring processes under the management of Service Quality International.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and develop improvement plans that support the integration of Service Quality and International Dispensing Servicing activities.
  • QMS support for the Service Quality and Global Customer Service functions, including managing change control and updating QMS documents as and when required.
  • Create and Lead Repair-Related Complaint process driving investigations and providing feedback.
  • Participate in Product Transfer teams, with Legal Manufacturers, to assist in developing service repair processes for new or transferred products within the international markets. This may include ensuring that appropriate validations support the international processes.
  • Lead and support ongoing Quality Improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure data supporting Service and Repair is provided as feedback to the Legal Manufacturer.
  • Responsible for managing a small team to develop this group in line with global objectives.

About You

  • Relevant Degree plus 5 years or more relevant experience within the medical technology industry or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proven management experience of leading teams and working with partners globally.
  • Knowledge of worldwide applicable regulations for Quality Systems (EU MDR, ISO13485, 21CFR820 etc).
  • Experience in a customer-focused Service organization (preferred).
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Microsoft 365 Applications, SalesForce or TrackWise software would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical medical devices (preferred).
