The Role: International Profitability Manager (Accelerated Development Track)

The ideal person for this role possesses both an analytical mindset and a strong leadership potential with an ambition to grow into a leadership path combining curiosity with logical and creative thinking, and great interpersonal skills.

The person joining will be part of a senior management talent bench, receiving dedicated technical upskilling and leadership development with direct sponsorship from the Chief International Loss Ratio Officer. The successful candidate will be supported with:

  • Dedicated training to understand our Analytics, Pricing and Data departments
  • Exposure to senior managers (including C-suite) around the Group with learning by doing approach through international projects that have real impact across our different entities.
  • Personalised development support to grow into senior leadership within Admiral Group.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identifying new opportunities and owning profitability and analytics projects with transformational business value.
  • Supporting the development of our future strategies in the areas of Pricing, Analytics, and Data
  • Influence and drive the decision making process of senior leaders across our international entities on current or future products and services.
  • Managing and collaborating with analysts and data scientists
  • Projects could include supporting the launch of new products, implementing new technologies, researching new data, deep-diving into country-specific challenges or sharing knowledge across countries to solve complex problems.

Location:

The successful candidate can be based in the UK, Spain, Italy or France.

Specific Requirements:

  • Strong quantitative skills supported by a solid academic and work background.
  • Previous experience either strategy consulting, pricing, actuarial roles or data and analytics roles
  • Experience managing and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced level of English.

Desirable Traits and Attributes:

  • Fluency in French, Italian or Spanish
  • MBA or Master in Management from a top business school, or Masters with a Business Analysis background.
  • Proactive and creative approach to taking initiative and getting things done
  • Team player who can build relationships across functions and geographies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to inspire and influence others
  • Willingness to learn the necessary technical skills from the ground up
  • An interest in data science or big data technologies, and some experience in these areas, may be considered an advantage but are not mandatory
  • Personality and a sense of humour (we believe work should be fun)
