The role
As a Design Engineer at their Yorkshire site. Reporting to the Group Production Director, you'll play a crucial role in their Engineering Design team. Ideal candidates, holding an HNC or equivalent with 2+ years' experience, will excel in 3D/2D Autocad, producing detailed engineering drawings, and contributing to innovative automated plant designs.

You will take responsibility for:

  • Generate 3D and 2D CAD drawings for existing equipment.
  • Provide engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Apply principles of hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive systems, considering all associated components.
  • Develop conceptual designs for automated production plant equipment.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, design management, and project management, to ensure alignment with project goals.

What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful Design Engineer to have the following:

  • Previous experience with AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in working with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards.
  • 2+ Years as a Mechanical Design Engineer in an Engineering/Manufacturing setting.

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

  • Experience in a wide variety of Conveyor, Process Equipment or Mechanical handling projects.

What is on offer
Salary ranges from 35,000 to 45,000, with a 40-hour workweek and annual leave increasing to 27 days (years of service). Participate in their profit-sharing scheme and receive an annual service bonus.
