About the Role
Base Location: Home Working and Flexible, additionally, our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant, Belfast or Dublin.
Salary: £55,200 to £83,000 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent, Fulltime Flexible First options available
The role of Technical Authority - Hydro Mechanical is within SSE Renewables Technical Centre of Excellence.
Responsibilities revolve around supporting our Hydro business vertical in managing our existing fleet and design/build of overhauls and new assets.
Key responsibilities and attributes are as follows;
Technical Authority and team leadership over SSE Renewables existing Hydro fleet and ongoing/future projects.
Design Authority role, co-operating with Hydro business vertical.
Providing engineering support to asset management of SSE's Hydro fleet.
Supporting and applying knowledge of engineering standards and statutory requirements on existing fleet and future projects.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
Ability to communicate engineering considerations and principles across SSEs hydro business.
Strong knowledge and experience in hydro power plant design and operation.
Experience in hydro plant asset management.
Appreciation of commercial and project management of engineering construction.
Team leadership capabilities.
