We are looking to appoint an Assistant Principal to our SLT.

The purpose of your role will be:

As a senior leader, to assist the Principal in the strategic and operational management, development and leadership of the AcademyTo ensure the achievement of our ethos, aims and objectives within the context of the Academy's strategic and development plansTo be in charge of a range of responsibilities within the Academy and to develop, maintain and operate appropriate systems for quality assurance in all aspects of our workTo oversee the marketing, enrolment, and induction of Sixth FormTo take responsibility for the behaviour, welfare, and personal development of students in the Sixth Form, including attendance and safeguarding.To have responsibility for teaching and learning, outcomes, and staff development in relation to Sixth Form – including Kinetic AcademyTo ensure independent learning is being set effectively across subjects – including pre-readingTo oversee the progression of students across Key stage 5 including UCAS and Careers programmeTo develop the enrichment and tutor programme for Sixth formTo effectively line manage 6th form tutors, Coordinator and Sixth form administrator.To review all associated policies to ensure compliance with statutory procedures.About Us

Qualifications & Experience

We would like to hear from you if you have:

QTS (or equivalent) and a good undergraduate degreeExtensive teaching experienceOutstanding teaching practiceSuccessful management experience as Head of Department or member of the SLTExperience of writing department SEFExperience of lesson observations and giving feedbackExperience of improvement planningExperience of implementing a range of strategies to raise student achievement, with evidence of successContribution to impact on the quality of learning and teaching and curriculumExperience of developing and sustaining positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the Governing Body to build consensus support and capacityProven track record of managing and implementing change in relation to teaching practices and standardsA track record of success in leadership and managementNext Steps
