We are currently seeking a Facilities Supervisor, based at Portree Hospital.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness are maintained in line with local infection control policies, Covid 19 guidance and maintaining compliance with the NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification, Food, Fluid and Nutritional Care Standards and Waste Regulations.

This post includes supervision of all services provided by the facilities team, including catering and domestic roles.

Preferred facilities experience would be desired.

This role supports the Support Manager to ensure policies and procedures are managed and meet legislation, daily supervision and management of the team and operational services, management of core and role training, and authorise and complete Scottish Standard time system.

The successful applicant will be required to cover, if required, all NHS Sites in the local geographical area, and a fleet vehicle is available for travelling to sites, and it is essential to have a driving licence.

This is a 37 post to cover a 7 day rota, hours worked will be between and includes weekend working, however other shift patterns would be needed at times to cover staff absence and annual leave, should it be required.

Rate of pay - £13.02 and weekend working premium rates attractive

We offer a full comprehensive induction and training package.

This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Heath and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
