Our client is seeking an experienced and skilled Procurement Manager to join their team based in Aston. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that meet the needs of the organisation, while ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing the procurement process from initiation to delivery, including sourcing, contracting, and logistics.

Duties for the Procurement Manager will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the organisation's overall business objectives
  • Manage the procurement process from initiation to delivery, including sourcing, contracting, and logistics
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify suppliers and negotiate contracts
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Manage and track inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels and minimise waste
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, such as government contracts and industry standards
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organisation's spend profile, including budget planning and forecasting
  • Analyse data to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure procurement activities align with business objectives
  • Develop and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Provide training and support to procurement staff on procurement processes and procedures

Please note you will be required to travel overseas occasionally.

The ideal candidate for the Procurement Manager will have the following:

  • Experience in procurement or supply chain management
  • Experience with fresh produce is essential
  • Proven track record of successfully managing procurement projects from initiation to delivery
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Strong organisational skills, with ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
