The Global Vaccines Product and Pipeline Communications and Government Affairs (CGA) Team lead external and internal communications and government affairs for GSK's vaccines pipeline and portfolio. The CGA Director for Early-Stage Vaccines is accountable for strategic internal and external communication of our key innovation areas and pipeline assets, early science and development stories and pipeline government affairs support.

The role reports to the CGA Head of Early Stage and Neisseria vaccines and will closely interact with experienced CGA leaders at global and local level, incl. • Provide focused strategic advice on internal communication to select senior leaders (e.g., head of Vx R&D, RDLT members) for activities with high impact for the vaccines business and GSK.
  • Closely collaborate with the internal comms team to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to communicating with employees related to significant pipeline news and our innovation stories.
  • Work in close partnership with the audience communications teams (media relations, digital communications, regional communications leads, engagement with local operating companies) to ensure alignment and impact of vaccines messaging and content.
  • Delivering in a dynamic, high-pace environment, with ability to swiftly react to external and internal changes and adjusting the communication approaches accordingly.
  • Issues and crisis management to ensure - where possible - issues are avoided and - if they arrive - are well managed.
  • Work with government affairs teams to ensure appropriate engagement and messaging for early-stage vaccines.
  • Monitor and track impact and success of communications tactics and adjust and improve based on measured insights.
